About Me

About Me:

Hello my name is Tom Daines i am the creator of Fallen Models.

The inspiration came about 3 years ago when I picked up some Plasticine for the first time since I was a kid. The first models I made were just a bit of fun really with a broader idea of doing stop motion animation but as I started making projects too big for my limited skill I quickly lost love for the arduous and painstaking task that is Stop Motion.

I turned my interest to purely modelling and sculpting, still using Plasticine I realised this had limitations as it doesn’t harden.

After searching, searching and more searching  I came to the conclusion that Super Sculpy polymer clay was best suited for my needs as this you can cook in the oven and its sets rock hard (until dropped as I learned to my peril) Set with this new material and some sculpture books for some crucial tips and pointers.

Now with a few Sculpy models under my belt I feel more confident with the material and getting to know its little quirks and what I can and can’t do with it. Learning new techniques and skills I will keep working to get my ideas to become reality.

I hope you enjoy looking at my work and that it may inspire you to try something different.

You can always email me to ask questions about your projects, share ideas and feedback.

Thank you for reading

Still needing a few finishing touches I will keep you up to date with it on here. If you are interested click the link and have a look at
